Hi, my name is Peter Maxwell Wright and I'm a musician based in the UK.
I'm a singer-songwriter and composer, I play piano, saxophones, bass guitar, guitar, trumpet, flute and sometimes harmonica, and I teach piano and saxophone too, from my home near Wokingham in Berkshire.
While not working on my debut album “13 Songs”, I play Sting in Police tribute band The Police Academy, I play bass with Robbing Williams and rock covers band The Hitmen, and I play various instruments now and again with my friends at Rhapsodaisical. I also do freelance composing, arranging, transcribing, scoring and session work.
My influences include Sting, Stevie Wonder, Paul Simon, Joni Mitchell, Rickie Lee Jones, Steely Dan, Beatles, Elton John, Billy Joel, Jamiroquai, Michael Jackson, Prince, John Mayer, Amy Winehouse, Lewis Taylor, Herbie Hancock, Chick Corea, Jaco Pastorius, Wayne Shorter and Miles Davis.
If you're wondering whether you might like to work with me, then go on over to my musician page to hear what I sound like, or my composer page to hear my music, or for more information about my piano & saxophone teaching see the teaching page. There is also a list of the instruments, equipment and general stuff I use on the equipment page.
If you are interested in working with me, being taught by me, want to know more, or think I might be able to help you with anything else, then please contact me.
